Description
LMW metric taper plug gauge 100, with lip, DIN 235 is an LMW taper gauge — a hardened-steel Morse taper or similar standard taper gauge, used for verifying tapered holes and shafts (machine tool spindle interfaces, tool holder mounts, etc.). Standard taper types include Morse tapers (MT0-MT6) and short tapers (SK40, SK50).
DIN 235 compatible. The gauge is hardened and ground to tolerance grade; supplied with calibration documentation verifying taper angle and large/small diameters. Plug version (for holes) or ring version (for shafts) depending on application.
Usage: Fit the gauge into the hole or onto the shaft; check contact with Prussian blue or calibration paper to verify full surface contact; measure the taper fit against acceptance specifications. Periodic verification of the gauge itself should be performed at calibration intervals.
Common applications: Spindle taper acceptance control on machine tools, tool holder seating verification, taper fit QC on machined parts, calibration lab Morse taper and SK taper reference work.
