Peak Lupe Steinheil loupe, 1985-1914, with 14x magnification. The lenses in the Steinheil loupe are cemented together and mounted in a lightweight plastic holder, to which a plastic case of the same material is attached to protect the lens surface from dust and scratches. When in use, the case functions as a handle for the magnifying glass. These lenses have an anti-reflective coating. Also available with magnification factors of 7x, 10x, and 20x.

A Steinheil loupe consists of a bi-convex glass lens crown with high curvature and two negative flint glass lenses cemented to both sides at the center of the positive element. These magnifying glasses with different magnification factors are popular for the preliminary examination of microscopic specimens.
